And I'm not in the business of refusing hot chicks anything. Unless they want to magnet long walks. No siree, we don't magnet long walks. Today was stressful. When is it not? How do can one decrease stress?
1) Don't think of consequences when you work.
2) Stop caring what other people (or bosses) will think.
3) Concentrate on one thing at a time.
4) Shut off your email. Stop checking your email every 3 minutes. I don't know what I'm execting in my email anyways. A lottery winning? Friends writing to say they miss me? A sister writing to tell me she's unblocked me from Facebook? A love letter from my husband? I think that lottery winning sounds more likely by the second...
5) Definitely turning off your blog.
Ohh the list can go on. Sometimes some things work and other times they dont.
Let me tell you what we did this weekend. Made dinner, watch Inglorious Basterds with friends, waited 2 hours to get brunch at a popular eatery with excited Pakistani girls, watched my husband tell everyone that he was also on a fulbright and was in Denver for his orientation ("No wonder you look so familiar!", cries an unassuming larki)!!!
*Roll of eyes. Fulbright. For those who don't know. Fulbright scholarship are scholarships given to people in third world countries to come to the united states and learn the american way to enlightenment - in their particular fields of study/research. They have to go back to their own countries after that and 'spread' those seeds of american enlightenment. I'm not against american enlightenment, education, or full scholarships - but I don't think the american govt realizes that they need to do major changes in their policy to engender the goodwill of people around the world than to try to create a sprinkling of goodwill ambassadors.

Sorry, as a Fulbrighter, I feel it my duty to set the record straight. The program, established by senator Fulbright in '46, is primarily aimed to develop better understanding between the ppl of US and the world (i refrain from expressing insightful inference as part of my loyalty however you shouldn't).
Every country, except for a few, have a Fulbright scholarship program. This includes developed countries like Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, etc. But only Pakistan has the largest program (as in greatest number of students sent abroad on scholarship-i believe this year more than 200.)
